Car consignment software that runs the whole consignment, start to payout
carassessments.com.au is car consignment software for Australian dealers who sell cars on behalf of private owners, built by TradeBeat, a working QLD consignment dealer. The agreement is e-signed on the consignor’s phone, their money sits in its own trust ledger, and the settlement statement works itself out.

Consignment runs on a spreadsheet, a DocuSign account and a lot of phone calls
Most dealer software is built for cars you own. Consignment adds a second owner to every car: someone who has to approve price drops, hear about every offer, sign an agreement with the right terms, and get paid the right amount from a trust account on time.
When that lives across a paper agreement, a ledger in Excel and your phone, the consignor rings every second day for news, price drops stall, and month end turns into a hunt for receipts before the auditor arrives.
How it works
- 1
Sign the consignor
Generate the agreement with reserve, commission, term and fees, and send it as a link. The consignor e-signs on their phone with ID and proof of ownership uploaded.
- 2
List, relay and approve
List the car everywhere, forward buyer offers to the consignor to accept, counter or decline, and get price drops approved by SMS link.
- 3
Settle and pay out
The settlement statement takes off commission, fees, recon and any financier payout. Approve the payout and send the remittance advice.
An agreement with your terms, signed before you leave the driveway
The consignment agreement generator sets the reserve price, commission (flat, percentage or tiered), term, marketing fees and early withdrawal fee. In Queensland the digital Form 9 is e-signed on the seller’s phone, with every view and signature kept in the audit trail, so you don’t need a DocuSign account.
- ID verification and proof of ownership upload at signing
- Finance owing captured: PPSR check and financier payout letter request
- Expiry reminders to renew, reprice or return the car
- Commission locked once signed
Trust money that can’t go missing
Every consignor has their own trust or holding ledger. In Queensland the ledger has no deletes, deadline timers watch the bank, the register and the seller’s account, and only the licensee can withdraw. Month end is a reconciliation and an auditor export.
- Trust receipts for every deposit
- Online buyer deposits receipted into trust
- Finance payout workflow: lender first, then consignor, then dealer
- Auditor export
A consignor portal that stops the “any news?” calls
Consignors see their listing live, views and enquiries, offers received, test drives and days listed. Offers go to them to accept, counter or decline, and price drops are approved by tapping an SMS link.
- Offer relay with accept, counter or decline
- Price-change approvals by SMS link
- Settlement statement and payout status in the portal
Recon charged back, unsold cars returned cleanly
Recon you do on the consignor’s behalf is recorded against the car with their approval and a cost cap, then charged back on settlement. If the car doesn’t sell, the return checklist and sign-off close it out.
- Recon jobs with consignor approval and cost cap
- Vehicle return checklist and sign-off
- Consignment performance: conversion rate, average days, commission per car
